Situated North of Port-au-Prince, Calaville is a rural community in the district of Dessalines. The community primarily relies on farming for income and without electricity, families rely on wood and charcoal for cooking. Each household connected to the Mesh-Grid has been provided two lights and one fan to help facilitate the transition to clean energy, and larger appliances will be introduced soon to help sustain productive use of energy. Installation was done in two months from the equipment arriving in Haiti.
