In order to execute on the mission to 100% energy access for all -we are looking for a Repair Technician. As a Repair Technician you’ll be at the heart of our warranty processβ€”diagnosing, repairing, and restoring equipment that powers communities. You’ll work hands-on in our Abuja office, collaborating with experienced team members and gaining exposure to cutting edge offgrid technology. Responsibilities

β€’ Minimum 3 years experience repairing electronics and AC powered equipment

‍

β€’ Diagnose and repair Okra devices including pods, inverters, sprouts, and solar panels to manufacturer quality standards

‍

β€’ Execute all Level 2 and 3 (L2 & L3) repairs using appropriate tools and following established repair procedures

‍

β€’ Share knowledge about Troubleshooting system failures to team members

‍

β€’ Document all repair activities with detailed findings, actions taken, and resolution outcomes

‍

β€’ Assist with mesh grid deployment training(on-site) alongside Service Delivery officer

‍

β€’ Support new installation verification and commissioning activities

‍

‍

Required Experience

β€’ Minimum 3 years experience repairing electronics.

‍

β€’ High school graduate

‍

‍

Nice to Have

β€’ Experience with diagnostic equipment - Familiarity with using oscilloscopes and similar electronic testing tools.

‍

β€’ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel - Ability to use Excel for tracking repairs and basic data analysis.

‍

β€’ Repair documentation skills - Experience in creating clear, accurate repair records and documentation.

‍

β€’ Prior hands-on repair experience - Background in repairing electronic equipment in a professional setting.

β€’ Strong understanding of electrical safety

β€’ Proficient soldering and desoldering skills: Demonstrated ability to solder and desolder electronic components, especially Surface Mount Devices (SMDs)

β€’ Component testing expertise: Ability to test basic active and passive electronic components (resistors, diodes, MOSFETs, etc.) using a multimeter, as part of the technical assessment.

‍

β€’ Basic computer literacy: Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Google tools, and email for documentation and communication.

β€’ English language proficiency: Able to read and write in English for effective communication and documentation.

β€’ Safety-minded and detail-oriented: Consistently prioritise safety, follows processes, and pays close attention to details during repairs.
